For St. George’s Episcopal Church in York Harbor, Maine. The design takes its queues from the church itself – New England Gothic, that is. The piece measures 14″ square by 22″tall, give or take. Made entirely from Cherry. The casework is traditional frame and panel construction. The ‘roof’ is coopered – one wide board cut into strips, each mitered to a prescribed angle, then re-glued to form an arch which is then hand planned to a smooth curve. The door pull was made specifically for the Tabernacle from bar stock bronze.
